I am trying to find where my grandmother, Jane Surgeoner Thomson is buried.  We know she passed away on 13 November 1897 in Penningham House, Wigtownshire Scotland.  I have checked with various government agencies and they have no record of her burial.  However, in one email they suggest she might be buried in Newton-Stewart at the Old Cemetary on Jubilee Road or in the Cemetary which opened in 1895.    She was born in Ayr, Ayrshire.

Jane's husband was Matthew McBlain Thomson (1854-1932).   In the 1896-1897 Valuation Roles, Matthew McBlain Thomson is the Innkeeper [Occupier] of the Queen’s Arms Public House and Stables, 30 Queen Street, in Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire.

Any help or hints would be appreciated.
